Team Losi® drivers had been testing prototype DSM systems for several months prior to the 1/10-scale electric on-road worlds. Team drivers felt that the DSM system with its totally solid radio link offered such a distinct advantage that they requested prototype systems for all the team just weeks prior to the IFMAR world championships. Spectrum staff attended the Worlds and brought several systems to hand out to selected drivers at the event. Following is a list of just some of some of the 21 drivers that used the Spektrum DSM systems at the IFMAR worlds:

Matt Francis
Rick Hohwart
Ryan Cavalieri
Paul Lemiuex
Travis Amezcua
Jason Corl
Todd Hodge
Brian Kinwald
Paul Wynn
Tyree Phillips
Andrew Cartwright
Barry Baker
Mark Pavidis
Greg Hodapp
Chris Tossollini
Teemu Leino

The DSM systems created quite a stir at the worlds and every pro driver that used the system was hooked.

“Using DSM, I never have to wait for an open frequency. That means more track time—especially important during practice. Plus the security and con?dence I have in DSM means no worries about interference. It lets me totally focus on chassis setup and tuning—things that help me run faster.”

-Mark Pavidis

“At the World’s, the drivers stand was a steel shipping container with metal poles supporting its roof— a virtual RF noise chamber. Lots of racers, including me, were having radio problems. I installed Spektrum’s DSM system just before qualifying and didn’t have a single glitch for the rest of the week.”

-Tyree Phillips

“I’ve been running with DSM for months now and haven’t had a single glitch. With DSM I feel totallly connected with my car. And at the World’s it was the same story.”

-Brian Kinwald
